History[]
Early Life[]
Stella Nicholls was presumably born in the early 1950s, and when Stella was young, her mother would leave her for an unknown reason. This information would spread across the town she lived and cause her to start getting bullied because of it, Tommy Milner and his gang specifically. Stella would also become friends with Chuck Steinberg and Auggie Hilderbrandt.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (film)[]
On Halloween of 1968 Stella rode her bike around Mill Valley before driving home, where she made food for her father Roy, and served it to him. When asked if If she was going out to trick or treat, Stella denied but eventually changed her mind while talking to Chuck, who had gotten the idea of getting payback on Tommy Milner.
Stella went out trick or treating as a witch and started to not believe Tommy would come as he always does on Halloween and when Auggie encouraged Stella to write a scary story for the school they go to, Stella declined, believing that the school would harshly criticize the story. Tommy Milner eventually came to the three while they were still walking, but after one of his friends took Chuck's bag, he realized it was feces. Tommy then slowed down his car, allowing Stella, Chuck, and Auggie to vandalize Tommy's car, but Tommy soon crashed his car into a fence, exiting his car and chasing them, causing them to flee into an alleyway and soon, a forest.
The three to make it to a drive-in theatre and take refuge inside of the car of Ramón Morales. After believing that they successfully evaded Tommy and his gang, Stella starts conversing with Ramóne and jokes about the movie playing at the theatre, Night of the Living Dead, but they are spotted by Tommy and his friends, who demand them to exit the vehicle. Tommy mocks Stella's mother, which saddens Stella, but Tommy and his friends are escorted by the manager of the Drive-in.
After they leave, Stella mourns about what had happened, but eventually got the idea to go to the now abandoned Bellows house, due to it being Halloween.
