Auggie Hilderbrandt is a character from the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark film. He's the friend of Stella Nicholls and Chuck Steinberg.
History[]
Early Life[]
August Hilderbrandt was born to Mrs. Hilderbrandt (later Mrs. Mahaffey) and an unknown father. He became friends with 2 other kids his age Stella Nicholls and Chuck Steinberg. The three of them are often victims of bullying, especially by Tommy Milner and his friends. It's a joke between him and Chuck that he seems to have a crush on every girl he talks to (i.e: Ruth Steinberg and Stella)
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (film)[]
On Halloween night of 1968, Auggie, Chuck, and Stella have compiled a plan to get revenge on their bully Tommy Milner. He's subject to being called a 'clown' by Chuck due to his costume being a Pierrot (which is a "17th century character from la commedia dell'arte").
While trick-or-treating, as per annual 'tradition', Tommy drives by to steal their candy. But since the three of them (Auggie, Stella, Chuck) had already known this was coming, they'd put underwear in the bag and threw eggs and toilet paper at Tommy Milner's car.
